Wedding FAQ Q: When should we start taking lessons? I suggest starting your lessons 3 to 4 months prior to your wedding date for optimum comfort on the dance floor. However, couples have come to me for 2 to 5 lessons before the big day and we’ve worked together efficiently and effectively! Q: How many lessons do I really need? Again that depends on you both, your willingness to practice, and how comfortable you want to look and feel during your dance. Q: What kind of music should I use? Use music that means something to you both; I will work with whatever you bring in to me. Your song is your special expression of your love for each other. But sometimes you do not have one. I can certainly help you there from my extensive song library and the included cd of song suggestions included in your package. I am here to help you create a dance that is beautiful for both of you. Q: My fiancé/fiancée doesn’t dance, can we actually dance together like this? Absolutely! Often I find it is the partner that “wasn’t so sure” that turns out to be really into lessons. I will show you elegant and easy steps in a relaxed and personal fashion that will be fun for both of you. Q: Are there benefits to private lessons? Absolutely - Private instruction offers you individualized teaching geared to your specific needs and abilities. Q: What about that first dance with my Dad, Mom, Father-in-law or Mother-in-law? Bring in the whole family & wedding party as well! Schedule a lesson with your Dad or Mother, bridesmaids or ushers , – you’ll be astounded at how much everyone loves to dance. Make it a group production with you as the center piece!!
